What we do
We help organizations design risk management and insurance programs for unavoidable risks – like schools and sexual abuse and misconduct (SAM) risk – which can never be completely prevented and which can threaten viability if they crystallize.
Who we work with
We work with risk managers.
We help risk managers help their organizations to meet their core objectives by working with them to design and implement risk management and insurance programs for their most important or challenging risks.
We work with brokers.
We help brokers ensure their clients’ risk management and risk transfer programs for their most important or difficult risks meet their objectives.
We work with insurance sellers – insurers and MGAs.
We help insurance sellers working in tough markets to develop the program scale and profitability they seek.
We work with self-insurers.
We help self-insurers retaining critical or demanding risks to achieve their organization, risk management, and insurance objectives.
The domains and risks we work on
We work on risks that are too important to be managed by checking boxes or insured by an ‘off the shelf’ insurance policy.
Sometimes we work with challenges. These include complex risks, distressed situations, unique exposures, or hard to place risks because of the state of the insurance market.
Other times, we help insurance sellers take advantage of opportunities – looking at how to address new risks, increase market share, or how to get to market quickly with a new offering.
We almost always work with risks that are central to risk owners meeting their most important objectives.
Some risks, like sexual abuse and misconduct risk, are critical over the long-term.
Other risks, like M&A, are essential at a particular time.
Whoever we work with, whatever the context, and whichever risk we look at, our approach is the same.
First, we work to understand our client; the nature of the risk they are managing, their risk management objectives and resources, and the risk transfer needed to optimize their risk management.
Next, we work to develop options to help our client meet their objectives, and help them make an informed decision on which option to pursue.
Finally, we help our client implement their chosen approach, and help them manage the resulting program over the long term.
Our longest standing client relationship is over 30 years; many others have been in the 20’s.
We would love to tell you more about ourselves and how we work.
